about

Hi, I’m Courtney.

I write books for readers who adore cozy small-town settings, fierce female friendships, and love stories that refuse to take themselves too seriously. If that sounds like you, you’re in exactly the right place.

My writing career technically began in kindergarten, when I was asked to read one of my poems—an ode to autumn—over the school intercom. That moment convinced me I was destined to be a poet, and I spent the next fifteen years torturing my creative writing classmates with lazily-rhymed sonnets describing my dreams, my (mostly speculative) love life, and yes, more autumn. But when I made the inevitable transition from dramatic teenager to slightly less dramatic adult, my interest in poetry fizzled—only to be replaced with a fascination with writing short stories, and later, novels.

These days, I’m the author of two full-length novels and a novella. I’m also an Anglophile, a dedicated tea collector, an amateur baker, an avid listener of history and true crime podcasts, and a cat thief.

I live in suburban Philadelphia with my husband, and I’m always working on my next novel.

Autumn is still my favorite season.
